Speaking /Error Correction
Nicole asked me to go through the text of my speech and
find out the mistakes. After finding one, I corrected it and got Nicole’s
confirmation. At the end, I noticed that I was having difficulty about using
articles (missing or using wrong one) and I was using “you know” phrase more
than necessary during my speech.
Feedback
provided to tutee: We discussed that recording the speech is a good
activity however it wouldn’t be very practical when it comes to classroom
teaching.
Lesson(s)
about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I think self-correction
is a very useful and effective technique for the language learners.
