Topic/Skill: Vocabulary and Culture
Feedback provided to tutee: Fadia and I met at the WJB building to explore a new study spot on campus. We visited a small art gallery and talked about the colorful pictures. For our lesson, Fadia and I created a list of new vocabulary words from the news article we read on Monday. There were about 23 words. We reread the article, I provided definitions, and we created example sentences.
Lessons about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I think rereading the article and reviewing definitions helped reinforce the vocabulary. I learned that Fadia enjoys reading and spending time with her family, but she also loves any opportunity to get out of the house and explore.
