Topic/Skill: Composition
Teacher Presentation: Cause and Effect – Ryan’s G4 Composition Class
Classroom Management: Mainly he just kept the class on topic by refocusing their attention on the task at hand. When one of the students was talking when he wasn’t supposed to he made him answer the question the boy interrupted.
Materials: Textbook, Projector
Student Participation: Group work to determine their cause and effect topics. Student explanation of vocabulary.
Feedback Provided: Helping to find correct vocabulary and he helped guide the essay direction. Walking around and correcting errors.
Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: Telling students the next days tasks helps to introduce topics. Give them the tools to come up with the answer – don’t just give them the answer.
