Topic/Skill: Emotional Vocabulary
Feedback provided to tutee: Young-Seo and I went over emotional vocabulary such as being exhausted, shy, jealous, etc.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned about some words that may be a little too difficult for someone like Young-Seo. However I also learned that repeated interaction with these "difficult" words, helped her memorize them more. For example, when I went over the list, I made sure to use synonyms with other words on the list. She looked at the pictures provided of the emotions and tried guessing and describing the emotion. She could not pronounce some of the words like "ecstatic" so at the end I made a little game of me pointing at one of the emotions and her saying which one it was. I believe, since she's small, she really likes little fun games like this.
