Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I learned that Amal's first "culture shock" while coming to the US was that every American she walked by wore yoga pants, sweat pants, sweat shirts, or something really comfortable. She always imagined Americans as being really fashionable so she was really surprised by what American college students wore to class. On top of that she was surprised that Americans wear such tight and revealing clothes.
