Topic/Skill: Writing, Reading, and Speaking
Feedback provided to tutee: Today I helped Astin with his homework. He practiced writing and tracing letters. I (again) helped Astin differentiate between lower-case and upper-case letters. We also practiced numbers and counting out loud.
Lessons about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Astin had a lot of energy and I learned to be patient but also more strict. I tend to be a bit passive (I don't like conflict), but I can see that it is important to be firm and professional as a teacher.
