Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I learned that Burkina Faso has 2 official languages: French and their native language. French is spoken almost worldwide, so the country wants people to speak French but the people also do not want to have French as an official language because it reminds them of colonialism. We also talked about how the roads and traffic lights are different.
