Topic discussed: We discussed our backgrounds and why we were doing the conversation partner program. Also, we discussed some of the differences between the educational system in Spain and the United States. Finally, we talked about Tallahassee and how it compares to other cities we had lived in.
Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I, personally, learned a bit more about how the educational system, particularly the university system, is different in Spain. We talked, for instance, about how grading is different in Spain. We also talked about various cities we had lived in and how they compared to Tallahassee. Finally, we talked a little bit about various accents in English and Spanish and how they compared to each other. For instance, how the accent in Barcelona is very different from the accent in Madrid.
