Topic discussed: This time we talked a lot about pop culture. We talked about which genres we liked best. We also talked about which franchises were our favorites. For instance, he liked fantasy stories like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars more and I liked science fiction stories like Star Trek or Blade Runner. We also talked about air travel.
Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: I have traveled out of the United States many times so I learned a lot about customs in different countries. I also learned that eating in movie theaters is not a universal thing. In Spain, it's very strange to eat in the movie theater during the movie. I also learned a bit about how ubiquitous American franchises are. Star Wars truly is everywhere.
