Arzu and I discussed our plans after taking the TEFL certification. I think that Arzu would like to use her certification; however, she is not sure how to use it here. I believe that Arzu should continue to the 200 hour course as she will get the opportunity to practice her teaching skills more which will make her more comfortable in a classroom setting. As someone who has mastered another language she would be a wonderful asset to any EFL/ESL classroom.
Arzu spoke with me a bit about Turkish culture and the beauty of the country. She mentioned, and I agree with her, that Turkey has so many beautiful buildings and environments whereas the U.S. is mainly functional. I can tell that she really loves Turkey and her passion makes me want to visit.
