Topic/Skill: Review of Organization in Essay
Feedback provided to tutee: Boram decided to change her essay topic and chose a TOEFL topic on the best ways to learn English. I went over the general organization of her essay and complimented her on her great usage of a clear topic sentence and example sentences in the body paragraph section of her essay.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Boram taught me that using TOEFL writing topics provides a great rubric to learn how to write an essay in an American organizational way. We both learned to use an easy topic to introduce someone into the American style of essay organization.
