Will TS #3

Date: 11/7 Place: P.J.'s house Topic/skill: Conflict mediation/Cinco De Mayo, Vocabulary. Feedback provided to tutee: PJ and I started by working our way through a reading passage on conflict mediation. The vocabulary was a little advanced but PJ got through it really well. PJ was really excited and we went off on a lot of random tangents. The second reading was on Cinco De Mayo which was a little less dry. We started out with a video from the history channel on the holiday. We went through the reading and PJ was able to learn a few new words on the military. We then ended the session with a video on the running of the bulls in Pamplona. Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: It was really interesting working with PJ he was in a really talkative mood. It was a challenge to balance the discussions we were having with the reading.
