Cultural and/or Linguistic Topics you and your partner learned: Fadia and I met for lunch at Pitaria on Monday. Since we were eating lunch, food became our first topic of discussion. I learned more about the types of food she eats in Kuwait and what she generally makes at home. We also talked about the upcoming winter break and our plans for Veterans Day. I explained why we celebrate Veterans Day here in the US. I talked about my plans to go hiking on Wednesday and Fadia said she was looking forward to day off school. Fadia loves to go to festivals, outdoor events, and restaurants. I learned we have a lot in common and I was able to recommend several nice restaurants here in Tallahassee. I look forward to meeting her again!
