Topic/Skill: Writing about a Topic
Feedback provided to tutee: Boram did not do the homework I asked her to do because she was sick. So instead she wanted to talk about gun culture in the US and then write a topic about that. Boram took notes while I talked about gun laws and some American history about guns.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Concerning gun laws, I learned that guns are not very popular in South Korea due to their rarity as well as their danger. Boram explained though that many Koreans die from alcohol poisoning because drinking is incredibly popular there.
For the next lesson I learned to remind Boram about her homework and this time I will send her some helpful articles on gun laws.
