Jun and I went through his online progress reports today. He was very proud of his high scores and was quite embarrassed when he ran across a lower score. We talked about looking at progress over time rather than in a short time period and he noted that, compared to the school averages, he is in the upper percentile. He was proud of that status so we moved on.
Next, we went through his last two tests and reviewed the grammar questions he missed. According to his progress reports, his scores were lowest in grammar so we decided to focus on that section of the test. He was confused about adjectives and how to determine which noun the adjective was modifying so we came up with some example sentences together as well to end our session.
